Scotland’s carbon footprint reduced by 1.3 per cent between 2018 and 2019.

Scotland’s carbon footprint in 2019 was 75.9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCO2e).  This is a reduction of 1.3 per cent over the year (from 76.9 MtCO2e in 2018) and 32.5 per cent lower than peak levels during the calendar year 2006 (112.4 MtCO2e).
