Scotland’s National Performance Framework sets out the kind of Scotland we want to see and recognises that while economic progress is important, success is about more than GDP. That’s why the purpose at its heart is opportunities for all, improved wellbeing and sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

This report is the first time we’ve drawn together key trends and data across the National Outcomes, also drawing on additional existing sources of evidence. The resultant overall picture of wellbeing should encourage decision makers to dig deeper into the evidence and look across the National Outcomes. There is a wealth of further evidence underpinning this both within the NPF Indicators, the Equality Evidence Finder and beyond.
